Hi Geoserver users
I observed that my geoserver sometimes (ones a few days) stops working.
I've read here:
http://docs.geoserver.org/latest/en/user/production/container.html that the
JAVA option: -XX:+UseParallelGC can cause pauses in geoserver work.
Can this be a reason why my geoserver sometimes stops working?
Geoserver is hanging it means that Tomcat admin web app is working but
geoserver requests end with timeouts. There is nothing in geoserver log file
and also nothing in tomcat log file. Only what I see is that in Tomcat admin
page in Server Status there are hanging requests. There are REST API and getMap
requests. They hang since ~2000 seconds. After Tomcat restart everything is
working well.
I'm using the default GC settings. There is a high traffic which loads
geoserver so maybe GC is involved?
