Hi, GeoServer REST requires authentication (administrator rights), so when invoking it you need to provide an admin authentication, with CURL you can do it like this:
curl -u admin:geoserver (...) If you are already providing a valid administrator authentication then you may be hitting some bug, in that case having the original request and the log will help us understanding the situation.
