Hi all, I recently created GEOS-8268: NPE on cascaded WMS during GetMap (ResourcePool.getWMSLayer).
It is about a NPE in GetMap on a cascading WMS which occurs after some time, seeming randomly and persists - making the layer unavailable. What I suspect is some concurrent modification on catalog data of GS which leaves inconsistent data. The problem is that I can not simply reproduce it. It just occurs after some time. 1) Therefor I'd like to ask the list if somebody has a rough idea what to look at to make tracking down this issue easier for me. 2) Some hints regarding the internal caching mechanisms (eg. for GetCapabilties) would be nice. Is there any documentation apart from the source? Might this be a reason for the error (outdated cache -> concurrent update -> inconsistent data)?
