It seems to me that GeoServer is not capable of securing coverage views, and indeed looks like no
wrapper was registered for it:
https://github.com/nmco/geoserver/blob/7d607ae1b09d211abc9c5eb6b3fbfa243e576fe7/src/main/src/main/java/org/geoserver/security/decorators/DefaultSecureDataFactory.java#L48-L60
In my opinion you should go ahead and open a ticket for this.
