We are attempting to use GeoServer to serve tiles in the XYZ format. It feels as though I have searched the forums and web for an answer that either shows me a few steps to take or helps me understand some baby steps on achieving that goal. I am a geospatial newbie, and I am trying to learn the language as best as I can.
We are using: - GeoServer Version2.12.2 - Git Revisionc513fdd977af572e39712bcc425b0bcbf753f108 - Build Date23-Jan-2018 01:28 - GeoTools Version18.2 (rev 7e69b317326f940171e3c75dc8ffd2d60c6ec0d8) - GeoWebCache Version1.12.2 (rev 1.12.x/8e746f758aabae3ab832c30757de6fafa4c39d0a) Installed on Windows Server 2012. (running on demand at this point in time) The question shown on the link below is effectively my same question. https://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/242389/serve-geoserver-tiles-in-xyz-format The corresponding link (which he was admonished for posting - https://stackoverflow.com/questions/44287161/serve-geoserver-tiles-in-xyz-format ) shows a TMS formatted URL that the author claims to work. I have tried that type of URL format several different ways, and I am unable to get a result. Should this work?
