I got the message * line 14: cvc-type.3.1.2: Element 'Title' is a simple type, so it must have no element information item [children]. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?> <StyledLayerDescriptor version="1.0.0" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.opengis.net/sld http://schemas.opengis.net/sld/1.0.0/StyledLayerDescriptor.xsd" xmlns="http://www.opengis.net/sld" xmlns:ogc="http://www.opengis.net/ogc" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <NamedLayer> <Name>test</Name> <UserStyle> <Title>This is the default title <Localized lang="en">English title</Localized> <Localized lang="it">Titolo in italiano</Localized> </Title> <FeatureTypeStyle> <Rule> <Title>yellow point</Title> <PointSymbolizer> <Graphic> <Mark> <WellKnownName>square</WellKnownName> <Fill> <CssParameter name="fill">#ffff00</CssParameter> </Fill> </Mark> <Size>6</Size> </Graphic> </PointSymbolizer> </Rule> </FeatureTypeStyle> </UserStyle> </NamedLayer> </StyledLayerDescriptor> https://geoserver-pdf.readthedocs.io/en/latest/styling/sld-language.html#metadata-in-different-languages I am using Geoserver 2.11.4, Best regards, Thomas Doejen
