Thanks, I think the ArcSDE format was dropped (no maintainer) and the template used for the release announcements was not updated.
The work still looks to be available as an unsupported community module https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/tree/master/src/community/arcsde (so you can compile it if you have an appropriate environment). Indeed if you are interested in this functionality perhaps you would consider maintaining it. As a community we need an individual in position to review any incoming pull requests and respond to issues. The scripts do not have a filename extension, but are plain text. Please rename with `txt` suffix and open up in notepad or wordpad ... or vi :) -- Jody Garnett On Wed, 30 Sep 2020 at 03:08, Andreas Böhme <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi everybody, > I want to report that for the current LTS release 2.17.2 the download > link for the ArcSDE vector format is broken. > Furthermore the word-documents describing the init.d configuration for a > production environment seem to be broken > (https://docs.geoserver.org/stable/en/user/production/linuxscript.html). > I am not able to open them with my word version professional plus 2013. > Cheers > Andreas > > > _______________________________________________ > Geoserver-users mailing list > > Please make sure you read the following two resources before posting to > this list: > - Earning your support instead of buying it, but Ian Turton: > http://www.ianturton.com/talks/foss4g.html#/ > - The GeoServer user list posting guidelines: > http://geoserver.org/comm/userlist-guidelines.html > > If you want to request a feature or an improvement, also see this: > https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/wiki/Successfully-requesting-and-integrating-new-features-and-improvements-in-GeoServer > > > [email protected] > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/geoserver-users >
