Hi All, France Geographical Institute (IGN) is distributing some of its data with an Open Licence here: https://geoservices.ign.fr/documentation/diffusion/telechargement-donnees-libres.html#plan-ign In particular there is a pack with zoom levels 8-12. I've loaded them in Geoserver, each level in its own ImageMosaic store/layer, and I've created an aggregate with all the layers and SLD sheet to switch from one layer to another in the TMS. I've added tile blocks, overviews and masks according to geosolutions' tutorial (awesome)
Problem is the output is not very good looking, in particular the place names are not very readable. So here are the two options that we have in mind to improve the rendering but so far it's not very effective: - Increase tile dimensions to 1024x1024 - problem is that it messes with the gridset tile footprint without much improvement on quality - enable interpolation on layers - no visible improvement - adding overviews - no visible improvement Is there any other option? With the same tile size if i use mapnik rendered tiles i don't have this issue so there may be another way... regards, Nicolas
