I have had a number of folks ask about this, but have not encountered the
problem myself.

What is really needed is someone (such as yourself) that has the issue to
do some trouble shooting.
- compare a jstack dump (see https://www.baeldung.com/java-thread-dump) of
2.15 to 2.16 ... and let us know what is running!
