Hi Michael,

I think you no longer need to supply the jdbc.jar in recent versions of 
GeoServer.

Certainly this is true for SQL server.

If any of your data sets are public facing I am very interested.

Hi GeoServer community

We're building our GeoServer web archive again, this time to be used with 
Oracle. What is the best ojdbc jar version to be using? We have ojdbc6, but 
were wondering whether we should use a newer version

Our Oracle instance will be in the AWS cloud, so likely one of the more recent 
Oracle DB versions.
