Do you mean it shows on the layers page (as in https://docs.geoserver.org/ latest/en/user/data/webadmin/layers.html#data-webadmin-layers)? Does it show in layer preview (as in https://docs.geoserver.org/latest/en/ user/data/webadmin/layerpreview.html#layerpreview) ? Can you view WMS and WFS from there? Also, what does the log show? If you don't see anything, try increasing log level and trying again.
