I couldn’t see anyway to achieve this with Geoserver (looking for a simpler version of https://developers.arcgis.com/rest/services-reference/enterprise/compute-statistics-and-histograms.htm from Arcgis server). It seemed to me that a “statistics” output format for WCS would be the right way to do it. Anyone know of extension or WPS efforts that might achieve this? (This a necessary prelude to legends/style that change with zoom and pan).
