Hi Andrea
Thanks a lot for the explanation. We were aware of the static legend
option but it was not the preferred option since in our use case the
layers are created automatically. We will give it a try though.
Best wishes, Cécile

Hi Cecile,
the expectation of same behavior in map and legend does not match reality.
When building a map, the SLD is given actual features from your
dataset, each of which is used to evaluate functions line endPoint and
endAngle.
When building the legend instead, there is no data access, the legend
code tries to make up a fake feature conforming to the structure of
the underlying data set, complex styles using will fail to evaluate
against it.
Arrows at the end of lines would need dedicated code in the legend
generator to recognize them, do something sensible to support it,
and also reserve the extra space for the arrow in the symbol ... it
would not be trivial to implement.
I'd recommend creating a custom legend by hand instead, and
configuring it as a static legend.
Cheers
Andrea

Hello,
We are helping a customer with symbologies. They have a symbology
which uses the functions 'endPoint' and 'endAngle' for point
symbolizer (triangles) in order to represent lines as arrows.
These functions are working as expected on the map, but are
ignored in the legend. As a result the legend is a bit confusing.
I would expect functions supported in the symbology to be also
supported in the legend. Attached is an image of the actual and
expected results and the corresponding SLD file.
Is this a known issue, or a feature, or could we consider opening
an issue about this?
Thanks in advance
Best regards, Cécile
