I have found what works for me is to set the proxy base URL on the workspace and not in the Global settings.

After setting the 'proxyBaseUrl' parameter, the Geoserver interface tries to redirect to the URL specified in the 'proxyBaseUrl' parameter after login. However, external access to that URL is restricted, and I need the 'global_proxy' parameter for other purposes. I've tried setting the 'WebUI Mode' in the global settings to 'DO_NOT_REDIRECT,' and I also restarted Geoserver after making this change, but Geoserver still performs the redirect. How can I prevent Geoserver from performing this redirect specifically for the administration interface while keeping the 'global_proxy' parameter active for other use cases? What am I doing wrong?
