If a symbolizer has some parts of it missing (e.g. a mark with no size or a
fill with no opacity) then NullPointerExceptions are thrown instead of falling
back to correct default values.
Code needs to be refactored to be more robust in the face of missing or
incorrect values. As SLD defines defaults for most cases these should be used
where possible.
