Having the possibility to set the Sample Dimension name is vital for the
correct usage of the BandSelect operation in a user-oriented application. It is
straightforward that a user will always distinguish bands by name not by index,
which conversely is a programming environment prerogative.
As an example, applications like WCS should allow the user to perform band
selection using text string (the so-called Parameter keyword), but as of now
there is no way to use meaningful names for sample dimensions in coverage
package.
