It sound like that the "maven createRelease" target is incomplete. The
javadoc is truncated, but I think that it was already truncated before
while unoticed. I tried to unzip geotools-src-2.2.M1.zip and invoke
"maven build" in a clean directory but get build failure in main. The
"modified-src" directory is missing. Even after I copied this directory
by hand, I still get the following error:
Error setting input: org.javacc.jjtree.JJTreeIOException: File not found.
Unfortunatly the error message doesn't said which file is missing. I
verified that module/main/src/org/geotools/filter/parser/expr.jjt is
presents.
I tried to unzip and build geotools-src-2.2.M0.zip (downloaded from the
Geotools web site) and got the same problem. It sound like that the
geotools-src-2.2.x.zip release was already broken before but unoticed.
I'm more whiling to spend energy in setting up a Maven 2 build, which I
now understand a little bit (I already spent 2 weeks on that; Maven 2 is
nice but it is a lot of work) than trying to fix the Maven 1 build. Do I
release 2.2.M1 "as is" given that it doesn't seem more broken than
2.2.M0 was?
Martin.
