The flaws you were worried about are still there, with respect to visitor and iterator code both being present.

This had major problems last time I looked at it, and havn't seem anything on the list since (Yes I've been watching for it).
This was just an update - no voting yet.
I wanted update as I have been busy, and have not had time to check into what is going on. I am happy with the existing breakdown, etc. Just not sure of the details of what he is up to.
Jody / Gabriel: Have you addressed dealing with multiplicity where there is a distinction between a choice of sub-items without forcing a subordinate child object?
Trying to understand what you are saying.
We can have a choice descriptor (with its own multiplicity), and the individual descriptors mentioned by the choice can also have multiplitiy.
Also, have you addresses issues with mixing sequence with choices to produce an expresssion which can have additions to a particular feature validated?
Yes, this was the main motivation for the Descriptor/Type split.

To work through these specific examples we should set up a schema and add it to Gabriel's XML examples that need to be met by the FM. I am more concerned with this work being correct, then the existing implementation.
I've asked these questions before ... but never got a clear answer. I really do not see adding all this complexity without being able synthesize it for the user. -1 (Please consider this a +1 when Jody / Gabrial have explained how this is being accomplished).
I will be able to talk more about this with you in November. It sounds like Gabrial has gone ahead on a geotools/geoserver branch regardless. I am also -1 until I see the JXPath (or any XPath) support in action. On the bright side I Jesse attended a related topic at OOPSLA, and some of the OGC types may help out with a review.
