And indeed the hope of Gabriel's work is that there will be no gaps
between XSD and our FT model, indeed this is the final test.  Gabriel -
David right now just dumps the things we can't handle into arrays of
objects.  So the thing to do on your branch is to just modify his code
to go straight in to the new object structure.  But there's no reason
to write a new schema aware parser, as it's already been done.  The xdo
code can be a bit hard to understand, but hopefully David can point you
where things need to be changed, where the hooks are to plug into the
full feature model.
