Note: if you build Geotools from the SVN trunk using Maven 2, you can
also find the latest OpenOffice addin in yours target directory:
gt/ext/openoffice/target/geotools.uno.pkg
Those latest build do not requires Java 3D installation anymore, because
the vecmath.jar file is bundled into this geotools.uno.pkg file. You
need nothing else than J2SE 1.4 and OpenOffice 2.0.
