Having you guys at a meeting would be great - I think we should
    probably
place a time cap on them as well.
    Vancouver 12:00 noon
    Bangkok 03:00 3am
    Johannesburg 22:00 10pm
    Wellington 09:00 9am

PennState 3pm - which would work

Um where are you based out of Ian? I will be Johannesburg with a crop
trying to introduce a team to open source devel work, and would
    like to
have a useful IRC session to attend, open process and all that. If
attendance is at 10pm then so be it ;-)

I'm at PennState now so I'm at UTC -5

I was thinking of something towards 05:00 UTC:
    - Vancouver 21:00 9pm
    - Bangkok 12:00 noon
    - Johannesubug 07:00 7am
    - Wellignton 18:00 7pm

PennState = 12Midnight - so I'm guessing not for me
If it was moved back an hour (yawn) would it work for you? It would be 11pm, and pretty harsh for euope

So we got three ideas:
- Timeslot #1 20:00 UTC (Monday) http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?day=19&month=12&year=2005&hour=20&min=0&sec=0&p1=0 - Timeslot #2 5:00 UTC (Monday) http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?day=19&month=12&year=2005&hour=5&min=0&sec=0&p1=0 - Timeslot #2.5 4:00 UTC (Monday) http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?day=19&month=12&year=2005&hour=4&min=0&sec=0&p1=0
- A Time cap of 45 minuets

We can see how GEOS does with two time slots, if successful we could match their lead. Rather then vote on this issue I would rather decide based on attendance, it does us no good
to vote and then have nobody show up - as has happened previously.

I will attend each of the above timeslots and see what happens :-)

Speaking of attendance, it is ironic that I am trying to get this discussion going while at the same time I will be working from abroad and am not sure how often I will be able to attend
these meetings (from Jan to May).

If I can ask for a volunteer to step in and keep things going? Remember votes are by "module maintainers" and you don't need to vote to run these meetings, just help with an agenda and collect the IRC logs. (PMC only vote on things like press and policy
under strict guidelines in the developers guide).

If possible I would like to maintain my role as PMC, and like Rueben will be sure to read the IRC logs, and vote issues as needed. (If that does not work out I will be happy to step
aside until the summer).
