JTS 1.7
-------

         Key: GEOT-815
         URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOT-815
     Project: GeoTools
        Type: Bug

    Reporter: Jody Garnett
 Assigned to: Richard Gould
    Priority: Critical
     Fix For: 2.2

JTS 1.7 has been out for a while and contains the follow bits of interest.
- Oracle SDO support, I believe this is a port from geotools?
- Topology (wonder if it is compatible with Oracle Topology?)
- WKB support (perhaps we can kill our custom WKB jar?)
- It would be interesting to hear more abou tthe GML IO, perhaps DZwiers is
retiring XDO?

Since GeoTools 2.2 series will be with us a while, and I imagine a few bug
fixes will depend on JTS 1.7 I would like
to switch over before 2.2 goes out the door.

Here is the page:
- geotools-devel@lists.sourceforge.net

And release anouncement (from
http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=531863 ):
 - improved performance for many operations
- new covers and coveredBy predicates
- new Linear Referencing API
- new WKB I/O classes
- new Oracle Spatial & GML I/O classes

Justin if you need JTS 1.7 to aliviate the WKB jar problem in geoserver feel
free to grab this bug.
