Looking over the JTS io packages in JTS1.7, the oracle stuff looks like a clean port (with some of the recursion removed), and the gml support seems to be in the spirit of the earlier XDO / GeoTools work.

I am interested in the planar package (we run a graph package in geotools build around an earlier jump effort) and I would be interested in seeing an API built over the oracle topology support (and am looking into that now).

The question is what code is current and if we can/should retire any of the work in geotools based on JTS 1.7 adoption.
