Okay sorry for this miss understanding, can you report the bug. The WFS
module maintainer, David Zwiers, tends to catch up on weekends. I will
let him know as well next time I see him online. If we don't hear back
from him soon, I will send him email asking if I can apply a patch.
Cheers,
Jody

Hi Jody,
The developers guide indicates that we need to change the
$JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/logging.properties file. We can't get access to this
file on the user machine. It just appears that the WFS module is
writing getCapabilities() debug data not as "fine" or higher (as stated
in the developers guide) but as "info". So the bottom line is that all
of the geotools code is writing debug messages correctly except for the
WFS getCapabilities(). I'll somehow try to set the level for the WFS
module programmatically, but this is just a kludge.
Thanks for your help.
John

Hi Jody,
I'm wondering if you could help or direct me to solve a problem. I'm
using the latest geotools code to create a wfs client. When I do a
getCapabilities() on the data source, I get about 500-1000 debug
lines. We need to use the latest version of GeoTools, but I need to
know if these debug statements can be turned off or commented out. I
think that the log level that I'm running at is "Information" and I
didn't want to change this. Anyway, if there is anything that you can
do, it would be greatly appreciated.
The log level forms a hierarchy and can be controlled with a property
file, I think it tells you how in the developers guide (under logging).
You should be able to turn off just the debug messages for WFS.
