You, of course, are configured to respond in this fashion to the
particular circumstances arising from your configuration. However,
perhaps we could briefly pontificate on the use of the term "failed".
This seems to be such a drastic term for what must be such a slight
hiccup. Would not a milder phrase do? Something along the lines of:
"Geotools almost built completely in the kickass manner it
generally does but, in this particular configuration, we hit a
slight mishap that I would like to bring to your attention."
or
"Geotools is slightly less kickass right now."
or even
"Alas, the superb library seems to be slightly awry."
any of which would be *so* much more encouraging, more fun, and would
lead me to ignore your message with slightly more joy than I do
currently.
I of course realize that there is nothing you can possibly do in
response to this message; the universe laughs at both of us,
