I left spike alone ... it is not part of geotools proper.
I removed most sdocbook and xdoc directories, only real surprise was that
main/modified-src was needed - apparently it defines a Node class that 
is needed by the javacc parser generator (who knew?).

Do you want to go through the src folders of main? I have covered that a 
bit in the IP review ... for the src folders I would like to go through 
and ensure they all have a simple package.html file.
