DateUtil in org.geotools.feature.type....

Given I am not sure we are even handling dates correctly at this time 
perhaps we can give this one the boot?

Looks like the code was copied directly, javadoc says @version 1.0 and 
@author Dennis M. Sosnoski.
I am offline and cannot check svn, so once again if you recognize this 
class please claim it...
