We need to write a formal GeoAPI request for change (RFC) and present it to the
next OGC meeting.
The deadline is around mid-September I think. I will write some parts in the
next days (until end of
August) and we may try to meet at the Foss4G conference in order to discuss
about it. I will then
try to present it at the OGC meeting in October.

My intend was to split the changes in two rounds (or more):

   - A RFC with only backward-compatible changes (from users point of view, not
implementors point
of view). It could be a GeoAPI 2.1 release.

   - A separated RFC for incompatible changes, like major API shift (I believe
it is the case of
FM?). It could be a GeoAPI 3.0 release.

        Martin.
