Um, indeed? So when we put out a version it gets a number: 2.2.0, 2.2.1, 
2.2.3.  The branch is not "out", so if I understand you
correctly we should maintain snapshot jars (and not call them "2.2.x").  
I suppose my question is, the snap shot jars are jars from
the branch, should they maintain the same name, regardless of if a 
release has been made from the branch or not?
