Hi, glad to see uom as an attribute of symbilizers, this and the use of InlineFeature indeed opens the door for a richer capability of generating high quality maps. Still there is a feature I consider key and is missing, which is the ability to specify the unit of measure of the map dimensions for the WIDTH and HEIGHT parameters of the GetMap request, as well as the DPI. Now that we have WMS's like GeoServer capable of generating map documents in non raster formats (such as PDF, postcript), it would be very useful to be able of specifying the map dimensions, say, in millimeters and the DPI of 600. Combining this features one could use a WMS to produce high quality printable maps, so this is my plea to consider the inclusion of uom and dpi parameters in GetMap, or to point me to the equivalent functionality definition if I've just overlooked it.
