Well the module maintainer is Marc Risney (but perhaps he never updated 
the pom.xml?)
I will try and set up plugin/oraclespatial first to get things going, 
and then fork out to an unsupported module next week.

I am going to think about this profile thing, and our testing situation. 
Now that I have access to developers that work on geotools I am getting 
a lot more useful feedback about what is going down and how much good / 
or how little good our test system is doing.
