Ok, then Martin's proposal should be to updated to delete ext/shape
instead of renaming it, no?
Though looking at trunk and 2.2.x I see no reference to indexing in the
ShapefileDatastoreFactory, which is where it's needed for us to use it
at all... Perhaps you're talking about shapefile renderer instead of
indexed shapefile?
