That would be cool Justin (and may help with figuring out the GeoTools 
auto generated functions - perhaps we can package it as a maven 2 plugin 
and get the source code out of svn).

You are correct that switching to H2 does not effect my primary goal; 
right now volunteer time for me is better focus on what I can work on 
*now*; rather then what I could do with research.
