Hi Martin - without JAI installed into the JDK, and without the "nojai" 
profile turned on we get the error much earlier - at the metadata 
RangeSet class.

The error message indicated in the previous email is with the "nojai" 
profile turned on - and seems to indicate a ImageIO problem?
