Okay I am back to simple-jndi after looking at using the default java filesystem JNDI implementation (problem is it is only a default when you suck up some java ee jars as a dependency). At least all this stuff is only needed for testing.
I found the following bug report (actually a documentation change request) to be very useful: - http://issues.osjava.org/jira/browse/SJN-75 We may consider doing similar things for documentation change requests given the state of our wiki. Jody > I am looking for ways to test JNDI functionality in GeoTools ... the > JNDI class is supposed to serve up an InitialContext - but it does not > appear to work (when you try to use the class to bind anything it starts > to complain). > > Switching to a directory based context would involve setting up temp > files and so on. One thing I found was "simple-jndi" which looks to be > explicitly aimed at testing .... > > If anyone has any input I am all ears, > Jody > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express > Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take > control of your XML.
