I had an initial attempt; am taking what I learned back to GeoTools. I
think this one is going to take a few
more attempts. In particular it is not worth doing again until the
GeoAPI interfaces have been accounted for
(since uDig works with the normal Java 5 geoapi jar).

I was chatting about this with Paul and Jesse. We are aware the work is
needed - but right now we expect
Justin will be doing this when it lines up with his project schedule?
Until then uDig trunk will remain on 2.4.

The GeoTools user guide is getting the working examples as I review the
FM work. Justin you pasted a great
feature type builder example into a chat window a couple of days ago - I
would really like it for the docs?

I would like to view the code examples and docs as part of the FM work -
I am a bit sad that this work has stalled right now? I have no idea when
(or if?) Justin is picking it up ...
