From the developer guide documentation it isn't completely clear what
the approval process is - it says to "ask" for inclusion in the next
release.

So I'm "asking". :-)

- This has been supported since the GT 2.1 release with updates for each
point release
- It implemented the GeoAPI filter interface in 2.4
- It implemented the "OnlineTest" interface in trunk (2.5)
- Support has been consistent through the newsgroup
- No blocking bugs
- Tested and functional with GeoServer and uDig
- Functional DB2 JDBC driver now available for maven build/test
- Functional with free DB2 Express-C and DB2 Spatial Extender
- Functional "spearfish" sample for GT 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 (need to verify on
2.4 & trunk)

Open issues:
 - Copyright is still held by IBM
 - Server with live database not generally available

Logistically, what is the process? Create a "db2" directory under
/gt/modules/plugin, move code over, add with svn and check-in with a
JIRA task?

Regards,
David
