I would like to release 2.4 *soon*... but the filter issue has become
somewhat of a blocker that I am not too sure sure how to handle. None of
the alternatives presented in last IRC are particularly ideal... so we
might just have to patch issues as they come up. Anyways... off topic...
yes I hope to release 2.4 this week.
