Oracle access just via schema user?

It seems that the Geotools oracle datastore needs schema user credentials for
retrieving data, since otherwise it's not possible to read metadata (geometry
column) from USER_SDO_GEOM_METADATA. This is a critical issue due to full
writing authorization of the schema user. Using the oracle datastore with a
WFS-T server like Geoserver enables every person to manipulate the database
with Transaction requests. Is there a way to solve this problem? Reading
metadata from ALL_SDO_GEOM_METADATA would be possible without schema user
credentials.
