I have added a 2.4-RC0 download page and am going through how an Eclipse developer can use the binrary download (for my FOSS4G lab).
A couple of notes: - README.txt has the wrong linefeeds so it cannot be read in notepad - GeoTools.html is interesting (where did it come from?) but the dates are wrong - EPSG.html, HSQL.html show that we can include some license info .. but we still lack LGPL - checking gt2-main-2.4-RC0.jar - does not include LGPL, does include META-INF\maven which I have not encountered before - ant-optional-1.5.1.jar is this needed? A lot of dependencies that are new to me; jsqlparser-0.3.14, slf4j-jdk14-14.0.jar, jlf4j-api-1.4.0.jar, Only a few look to be trouble - relaxngDatatype-X.jar, jta-1.0.1B.jar. Since java includes regular expressions now can we drop the need for gnu-regexp-1.1.4.jar? Finally there is no indication what is supported or not; if we cannot organized the jars into folders can we change the gt2 prefix?
