Agreed; nobody is interested in a private list. I would much rather have a "geotools-admin" list with the understanding that module maintainers come along for the ride. Basically make it a non coding "devel" list. Perhaps we could drop the weekly meetings if we had a clear line of communication that was not swamped by that latest bug of the day.
