I have encountered a similar problem in the past but I have easy solved it,
thanks to Martin.
I post here the useful Martin's reply on such a topic:

GeoTools WarpTransform2D has a workaround for a JAI bug. Maybe the JAI bug
has
been fixed now, in which case the workaround need to be removed? If you
want,
could you try the following please?

* In org.geotools.referencing.operation.transform.WarpTransform2D,
 delete or comment-out all the lines 214 to 235  (on trunk - not
 sure about the line numbers on 2.4.x branch. The code should be
 flagged by comments).

* Tests again with th build snapshot.
