the 2.4.x_rs branch contains code for full(ish) RasterSymbolizer support in
geotools. this means that the full range of processing defined by SLD, for use
in maniuplating the styling/appearance of rasters could be available in
geotools/geoserver via SLD.
Against the 2.4.x branch these changes were non-trivial but straightforward to
accumulate into a patch and a set of added files
Against trunk (2.5.x) these changes have not yet been applied or integrated.
this JIRA issue indicates that we need to get BOTH parts done...integration
into 2.4.x and integration into trunk.
I propose integrating into 2.4.x as soon as 2.4.0 is released (in late january
2008)
I don't have a firm timetable for getting this work into 2.5.x (trunk) and I
hope someone else can help out on that one!
