Nah, it started failing on my windows box as well...

I've checked one of the tests, createWarp is feeded with the
following parameters:

sourceBB: GridRange2D[0..120, 0..360]
targetBB: GridRange2D[35160..35281, 10320..10680]
allSteps2D:
PARAM_MT["Affine",
   PARAMETER["num_row", 3],
   PARAMETER["num_col", 3],
   PARAMETER["elt_0_0", 0.9999999999895249],
   PARAMETER["elt_0_2", -35160.499999631],
   PARAMETER["elt_1_1", 1.0000000000000029],
   PARAMETER["elt_1_2", -10320.499999999683]]
mtFactory: DefaultMathTransformFactory

and in fact the transform does not seem to converge...
The code has not been touched for over a week (at least) so my best 
guess is that something is going on in gt2.
