I did some investingation on the math and it seems correct to me (there 
was a little typo in the forward conversion, so I have just updated the 
patch attached to the jira issue).

Unfortunately I'm not able to find any too, so for now I think we have 
to wait for someone luckier than us :-)
Apart from the Italian situation, maybe the projection itself could be 
useful to other countries.
