Hi Michele,
The problem you are reporting is related to the imageio-ext project. For
this reason, you could post your help request to the imageio-ext dev mailing
list :) [devATimageio-ext.dev.java.net]
Anyway, are you sure the missing package is "com.sun.imageio.streams"
instead of "com.sun.media.imageio.streams"?
In the latter case it seems maven can't find the JAI-ImageIO library. I
noticed you are using java 6. In such a case, be sure you have properly
installed JAI and JAI-ImageIO for that Java version.
Finally, the geotools imageio-ext-gdal module is on "unsupported" but it is
out of the build so I guess the problem you are talking about is strictly
related to ImageIO-Ext building.
Can you post the complete maven error log?
