You are now expected to use maven 2.0.9. Earlier versions may work but
we make no guarantees.
On an empty .m2/repository, using
>>>>mvn --version
Maven version: 2.0.9
Java version: 1.5.0_15
OS name: "linux" version: "2.6.24-16-generic" arch: "amd64"
Family: "unix"
I ran successfully:
mvn clean install
mvn eclipse:clean eclipse:eclipse
mvn javadoc:javadoc
mvn site:site
Apart from deploy which I can't run for obvious reasons, I hope this
covers the use cases we all have.
The developer's guide has been updated:
http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOT/2+Maven+Install
to reflect the change.
As I consequence, I'm closing JIRA-1780 and have committed Cedric's
patch to the svn at revision 30341. We'll see if the build bots
complain.
