An alternative is to completly remove the verifier if peoples wish. I added it

while ago in an attempt to enforce some rule in our pom.xml so we can generate
a
Maven site automatically, but I failed to get that site generated for Geotools
2.x anyway, so the verifier do not serve much purpose now.
Should I remove it?
