We have talked about moving to another server - the above is a proposal to do so. This proposal is not going to go anywhere with out volunteer time to make it happen; if you can help with any of the tasks listed please update the page. If you need any encouragement volunteering consider the following: right now we are running a couple of days downtime a month; I do not want to put any of my projects at risk by having this downtime occur near a deadline. As such I would much rather round up volunteers and *plan* for a couple days downtime during a switch then take my chances with the status quo. I hope you feel the same way? The proposal outlines two options: CodeHaus or OSGeo hardware. I have written the proposal for CodeHaus hardware because that is my preference (rational: Single sign on with the wiki and I would rathersee our community work on code that managing svn). There are really strong *branding* motivations to use OSGeo hardware - but we would need volunteers to make that a viable alternative. Cheers, Jody PS.
