It is quite possible that there is bug. I have not yet reviewed the temporal 
primitive package, which still unsupported.

Actually I have not yet reviewed the GeoAPI temporal package neither. Last time 
I looket at, I found some API that I found surprising, like method returning 
mounth, year, etc. as InternationalString. I would like to compare with what 
the 
ISO specification said.

There is a risk that the temporal GeoAPI interface and the GeoTools 
implementation get some changes in the mid-term future. In the mean time, my 
suggestion would be to take the temporal module for what it is: an unsupported 
module still in development, so there is a high freedom to make the changes you 
feel. I will ask Mehdi.
